An African-American social worker called Earledreka White felt threatened when a police officer told her to stop her car and remain inside the vehicle, the 28 year-old decided to get out of her car and look for her license which was in the trunk. The police officer demanded her to sit back inside the car as she failed to cooperate and called 911 instead.
He had no choice but to arrest her with handcuffs as she resisted arrest and made matters worse. She was then taken to the police station and spent two days in jail. Earledreka later admitted that she didn’t follow his instructions and made matters worse but she also felt that it was her right to rest arrest. If she had followed the basic instructions she would have not got herself into a messy situation.
